Vitchitra Veena
A stylized swan on the soundboard is being chased by a mythical animal carved on the peg box. Includes wooden case. Special delivery. Veenas are played to accompany vocals or other instruments. There are 4 main, or melody strings. Strings are numbered 1-4 from side opposite the sympathetic toward the sympathetic. The main strings are tunded: F C G C or sometimes G C G C. The 2nd string is considered the main string for the tone of te instrument. The sympathetic strings are tuned in octaves starting one note below the 2nd main string and working up: B C D E F G A B C.
