English Soprano Recorder
The soprano recorder is end-blown and the mouth of the instrument is constricted by a wooden plug, known as a block or fipple. It has holes for seven fingers and one for the thumb of the uppermost hand. The bore of the recorder is tapered slightly, being widest at the mouthpiece end and narrowest at the top.
These are a fun and easy to play instrument for all. Even Jimi Hendrix and Paul McCartney played an English soprano recorder in some of their studio recordings.
