The upper half of each bell is highlighted by cloisonne-like coloring. Swing the bells in gentle circles to make the Clapper roll over the multiple tines. Each bell provides a soft sustained chime-like sound. The bells are cast in factories in a small town called Jalesar. This is a town in a northern state of India, called Uttar Pradesh; an area well known for brass work. The cloisonne-like coloring is done in another town situated close by, called Moradabad.
